I have limited availabilities in October 2024, April 2025 and May 2025 at Duke University. I also offer graduation photoshoots in SF Bay Area, Seattle, and NYC year round. Please contact me for availabilities.

Individual

  • $175 for 45 minute portrait session at 2-3 locations around campus

  • Professional editing and retouching of 35 images

  • 1-hour portrait session at 2-3 locations around campus

  • $300 for 2 people + $100 for every additional person up to 4 people

 FAQs

  • For December graduates, the best time to take photos is during the fall due to better weather and more comfortable temperatures. I have availabilities in October 2024!

    For Spring 2025 graduates, it's best to book as soon as possible! Time slots will fill up quickly. I have limited availability April 26 - May 9, 2025.

  • You'll meet me on campus, usually at Duke Chapel. I'll ask if you have any location preferences, and we can take pictures anywhere on campus. During April and May, campus will be busy, so time at each spot varies. Typically, we can fit in 2-3 locations during a 1-1.5 hour session. The most popular spots are in front of Duke Chapel, the chapel arches, and Chapel Drive. Please note that my shoots are back-to-back, so I'll provide a 5-minute grace period at the beginning of the session if needed.

  • I recommend booking a time slot an hour before sunset for the best lighting. Depending on the month and weather, this can be anywhere between 5-9 PM. On a cloudy day, any time throughout the day would be fine! On a sunny day from March - June and from August - September, 6-8 PM would be ideal. On a sunny day from June - August, 7-9 PM would be ideal.

  • I aim to return portrait session photos (graduation, family, engagements, etc.) within 2-4 weeks and wedding package photos within 4-6 weeks. This timeframe ensures that each photo is edited to the highest standard, providing you with stunning, professional-quality images.

  • Yes, of course! Just email me with your specific needs. I am happy to photograph portraits, events, weddings, and more outside of the listed packages.

  • Fill out the contact form or email me at michelleliphoto@gmail.com. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a booking.

  • I recommend saving your favorite poses from Instagram, Pinterest, Google Images, etc., and practicing them to ensure a confident session! Don't worry if you're camera shy - I will help guide you with pose ideas too. If you'd like props in the photos, make sure to bring them. This includes items like champagne for graduation champagne spray photos.

  • Yes, you can change the date of your session as long as I have availability and you request the change at least 3 days prior to the photoshoot date. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in respecting both of our schedules!

  • The session will continue as planned unless you notify me at least 3 days in advance that you would like to reschedule. During the rain, we can take photos under buildings, Duke Chapel arches, or inside Duke Chapel while we wait for it to stop. Since rain can be unpredictable, I strive to accommodate your needs and will work with you to find an alternative time if necessary.

  • Yes, you can cancel your booking. However, please note that there is a non-refundable $50 deposit when you book. You can change the time up to 3 days in advance, but a full refund is not possible as I have reserved that time slot specifically for you. Thank you for understanding and respecting my time!
